Gratitude changes your biochemistry and your destiny

Hola!

I'm Blanca.
You are meant to have an optimal life, one that's happy, successful, abundant and of great contribution. My mission is to help you achieve that.

Gratitude changes your biochemistry and your destiny. Why wait until Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Years to count our blessings? Today is the perfect day to remember what makes your life to terribly wonderful.

Make the longest list of all that you are grateful for. Read it. Feel it. Breath it. Internalize it. Feel your endorphins, dopamine and serotonin soar. Feel your destiny present today in your life.

If you need inspiration, here you have my list,

1. You

I’m immensely grateful to all my readers. The new ones who start to interact: ask questions, share my blogs with friends and tell me stories. The ones who are with me for years, the ones who know all the evolution. Your love and your presence makes me wake up in the morning.

2. Bertil

This man changed my life. For the past 10 years he inspires me to be the best Blanca I can be. He is the only person in the world who was able to make me laugh during childbirth. He is my husband, my partner in crime, my friend, my soulmate, my best friend.

3. Camilo

His ever present happiness and eccentricity. His radical creativity and jokes over the jokes. His ability to be honestly himself no matter what.

4. Magali

Her engineering mind. Her ballerina legs. Her beautiful voice. Her ability to speak any language. Her ability to be her own person while being so similar to me.

5. My mother

Her example of how to live up-to 92 year old healthy, vital, vibrant. Her example of dressing with care and beauty.

6. My father

His example of how to ask for what you want and never be afraid of getting a no. His example of being open to learn anything.

7. My sister

Her example of overcoming the most horrible experiences with grace and enthusiasm.

8. Mexico

Its colors. Its depth. Its magic. Its magic realism. The Aztec cosmology. Coatlicue. The understanding that there is no good or bad. The understanding that light and night are important and contribute to life. Amazing wonderful friends.

9. The Netherlands

It’s simplicity. It’s flatness. Its “what you see it’s what you get”. Its healing role in my life. Amazing wonderful friends.

10. The Schaart family

For becoming much more than the family of my husband. For all the words of encouragement and love when I needed them the most. For all the simple, natural family rituals (birthdays, Christmas, illnesses…) that bond us forever.

11. My body

For allowing me to experience the world. My feet for holding and bringing me everywhere every day. My hands for allowing me to see all my veins and tendons, for allowing me to see the magic of life operating in me. For my eyes allowing me to see the world. For my heart allowing me to resonate with the world.

12. The Speaking side of my work

For the ability to stand on stage and share my stories, my beliefs, my experiences and with that touch the hearts, minds and souls of amazing change agents.

13. The mentoring side of my work

For the blessing of being the confidant of beautiful and powerful human beings. For the blessings of being there for them to pick themselves up into the next chapter of their lives.

14. Steigereiland Montessori School

For truly caring for every single child: the naughty, the shy, the creative, the intelligent, the slow, etc. For instilling a “growth mindset” in all the children. For all the magical children I’ve met there. For all the wonderful teachers and parents who have now become friends.

15. Toastmasters

For being the source of so much more than excellent public speaking experiences: the best friends in my life, among others my husband, increasing my self-belief, make me conquer fear after fear, teach me how it feels to be a winner and a leader, allow me to give back.

16. All my friends who have become family

My dear Gita. My dear Maru. My dear Laure. Never a superficial conversation with you. Always deep caring for all: for our relationship, for life, for family, for it all. Thank you!

17. My mentors

Nisandeh Neta, John Assaraf, Lisa Sasevich, Lisa Cherney and many others. Thank you for being those tall trees that show us what is possible when authenticity meets dedication and love for others.

18. My schools

The Rotterdam School of Management, The Santa Barbara Institute, La Universidad Simón Bolivar. Thank you for what I learned in class and what I learned in the hallway. For the lifetime friends I met there.

19. Internet

For allowing me to be in contact with my friends around the globe, to learn a huge range of topics, do my work. Great vehicle of connection.

20. This day and age

Grateful for living in this challenging time when people are awakening to the need of love, clean water, clean air, compassion, honest business, empowering school system, etc. The emergence of the Heart Centered Economy.
